The tallest standing stone in Britain

Looming beside a Norman Church in Rudston, East Yorkshire (an ancient village on the roman road from Bridlington to York is the tallest standing stone in Britain. Standing at over 25 foot or 7.6 meters high and the same length again is buried beneath the surface. The mystery is - how did it get there...?

Such a rainy day and I took the snap on my phone whilst out and about on my home turf of East Yorkshire.
