Tour of Andalucia- Day 1 - Cordoba

Didn’t sleep too well in the Moxy hotel at the airport mainly due to the thought of the early rise at 3.30!
Short stroll to the airport, check in and security done and the usual Caffè Nero breakfast and then perfume purchased and gate called ready for take off at 6.15am!  Good flight and we arrived ahead of schedule at Seville, 9.50 local time, although kinda cloudy.

Airport bus to Santa Justa rail station to get the train for our first port of call - Cordoba.

Short walk from the station to our apartment for three nights and we unpacked and headed out to the nearby old town for some food.  temps at 1500 were around 26 very pleasant and sat outdoors for what was basically comfort food - fried eggs and a ratatouille with warm fresh bread and it was delicious.

There is a Patio Festival on for two weeks and we saw some of the wonderful colourful flowers in the few that we passed by .  Wandered over the Roman bridge and then strolled up to the Mosque, which will visit tomorrow inside.

Cordoba is beautiful - the evening light on the ancient stonework of the Mosque is stunning.  There are brightly coloured flowers draped over balconies.

All looking great but due to the early start we were done in by 9.30.  Early bed ready to enjoy a full day tomorrow
