The Next Chapter!

Let there be Light

It’s a dank, dark, wet, cold and positively miserable day out today...hence I haven’t strayed far. I started the clean up operation in the conservatory and got rid of the worst of the dust...I’ll wash everything down tomorrow. I’m hoping eldest will do the bits requiring a ladder at the weekend!

One of the upsides of the works in the garden is the amount of light we’ve let in....the whole area was very overgrown and the dense undergrowth was impeding into the flower beds. The previous owners planted lots of lovely trees but put them far too close together so we’ve had a cull and if I get my way there’ll be one or two more going too. We can actually reach the back of the greenhouse now!

The clematis have been in flower for a few days now but this is the first bloom at a sensible height to photograph...it certainly brightens up a dismal day.

In other news hubby says our baby blackbirds have hatched...he had to fortify the dam against the rain this morning and needed Mommy to vacate the nest first so managed a quick peek. Hopefully photographs will be possible soon.

Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting Wide Wednesday.
