Exploits of a Veelager

Fifty Shades of Grey

Escaped the Veelage today for a little while but did not go far, as the rain was teeming down and the cloud base was about 100 metres, just a few miles down the road to visit some friends before Christmas and enjoy the smell of logs from their wood burning stove.

Set off back home after an enjoyable few hours and darkness already seemed to be descending even although it was only half past three in the afternoon, not much of an improvement from the solstice as yet.

Stopped of to try out my Christmas present to me a 10-20 zoom lens but this was not the day for it as the results of a quick pic in the rain of one of the local rivers in full spate was far from enthralling, so photoshop to the rescue and the resultant application of one of my favourite filters made the title of this post spring to mind.

Not a total washout today as was pleased to see one of my images appear in the center pages of the Daily Record, a competition I had entetered a couple of pics in recently.

Everything ready for Christmas now except the purchase of a bird of some description in the Metropolis of Ayr tomorrow or the next day.

Merry Christmas to my fellow Blippers
