A glorious day, but the previous night's snowfall made our planned ascent of the more distant of these hills just too much to fit into the day.
A crying shame, as we love walking the hills when they are smothered in snow, but it slows you down and we didn't bring all our winter gear. So the prudent decision was the painful demotion of the day to a reconnaissance mission.

We will be back as soon as they are looking a little less white.
