Liberation Day

74 years since Guernsey was liberated from occupying German forces. Thousands of people headed into town to celebrate our freedom.
Charlie and the band were playing in the Home Front marquee on the pier and they drew quite a crowd for their set. I took 160 photos in 15 minutes! Hopefully they’ll be able to use some in their promotional material.
This evening I went back to town to photograph the fireworks. Limited success with that, but there’s always the next time.
