The entrance was through this mill house

Sure enough, Louth had an unheated swimming pool from 1926 until the 1970s, with water supplied by the Aswell spring. Water from the spring had been used from the 13th century to clean and process wool and the mill pond had subsequently been used by a brewery and then a jam factory before it became a public swimming pool.

The first indoor swimming pool was opened by the wife of the then MP for Louth, Mary (now the fragrant Lady) Archer. That has been demolished and replaced by housing. The Meridian Centre boasts a competition-standard 25 m pool.

I bet you're glad you read all that.
