Irises

Showers threatened all day but we avoided them somehow. Managed to get to the gym this morning which hasn’t been possible the last couple of weeks.

Allotment this afternoon. Good work by Susan weeding the parsnips, beetroot, carrots and spearing onion seedlings and hoeing up the whole plot.

I dug trenches for the runner beans filling them with compost before pulling the soil back over. Also narrowed the grass paths using the cut turf to build new paths to replace old wooden walkways that had rotted over the years.

Today’s blip of Irises was not what I intended. Susan was given these as a Christmas present some years ago and this is the best they have been.
