Ute Indian War Memorial.....

Over many years native Americans have fought and died for this country.
Pictured is a warrior astride his war horse. The warrior considered it a great honor to selflessly give his life to protect women, children and country.
A little further back was another memorial that listed the deceased, what war they fought in and the medals awarded to them. I was surprised to read the wars they had fought in: WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq,
