Thousands of Butterflies

There must have been a major hatch because we have thousands of these butterflies in the air over the last day or so. They look like mini-monarchs, but a little more dull in color and about half to one third the size. If anyone knows what species these are, please let me know. For the moment, they are everywhere, not sure what their lifespan will be, but pretty while it lasts.
