Orchid, Wales Coastal Path

Drove through pretty scenery for 2 hours from our Elan site to near Aberaeron. Our site here is £8 to park in the clifftop field with no facilities but thankfully we can be self-sufficient for 3 days.

After a quick sandwich for lunch we set off in bright sun south on a high coastal path before reaching a lower one. We then turned north to Reach the pretty little town of Aberaeron with its brightly painted houses.

We had an ice cream and walked back. It was a steep pull up through a horse's field back to the van. Despite the field being huge 2 vans have decided to park close to us. There's nobody else here. Weird.

We are sitting in the sun reading. I'm on Peter Hopkirk "Foreign Devils on the Silk Road" about the discovery of manuscripts in the Taklamalan Desert for the British museum and others.
