Sunstriped

Early this morning Messenger started pinging, son no 1 had arrived safe and sound back in Singapore. While reading his progress through Customs, luggage retrieval , taxi stand etc I noticed the way the sun and blinds made extra stripes on the daybed and its cushions. Next year this time this holiday house will also be redecorated and revamped and the blinds and the daybed will be gone, which I kind of regret. I do like these blinds and how they filter the light. There's no need for them in our own house in Holland, in fact they'd be totally out of place there, so it's goodbye all the way. But I certainly felt that a Blip of them today would be good to keep them in our memory (see the extra for the actual blinds and window above the daybed)
I hope all the mothers out there had a great Mother's Day, if celebrated in your country today. In any case just like Valentine's Day, every day should be Mother's, Father's, beloved's day anyway ;-)
