Allotment and birds

First birds. Claude has been a bit unwell but that has not slowed him down. Today he caught two starling fledglings and brought them into the house, they are so loud. First one seemed fine and flew out the door when I opened it. The second one I caught and let it go but it was not able to fly very well. So I caught it again and we took it to the wildlife hospital, they said it was a little underweight but seemed okay otherwise, they will look after it

We then went to the allotment, I am very unhappy to see that something has been ripping at my fruit trees, probably a pigeon. Will have to look at ways to protect them next year.
