Secret courtyard

We set off for the Writers' Museum and somehow ended up in the Museum of Edinburgh, which is equally gnarled and gritty. This courtyard isn't secret in the least but I've never noticed it before. Perhaps it's only there when the sun comes out. It houses a collection of lovingly carved stone. The woman lacks a name but is full of power. I've added an extra photo of one of the courtyard buildings. The white against that blue blue sky feels a bit Greek, which is fitting as the statue is described only as "in the Grecian style".

Further up the Royal Mile there were bubbles, which thrive in the sun. We did make it to the Writers' Museum eventually, which is mainly Burns, Scott and Stevenson.
