Suburbs

On our last full day in Tirana, we had some free time in the afternoon, and headed up the nearest mountain on the recently opened funicular. Much jollity was had (it was a long story involving some restaurant staff who were incapable of managing their new credit card pin machine), and on the way back into Tirana we got some epic views across the suburbs.

The original photos were somewhat muted because of the haze, but snapseed's drama function does a good job (as does some judicious cropping - I'm much better at cropping in camera these days).
