Aperture on Life

Swampy

It's been another wet day but dried up enough to take the dogs for a walk. I love these marshy environments. This isn't far from home. Although many areas are flooded, the water in this marsh has only risen a few inches. The excess runs off into a river which, although very swollen, hasn't burst it's banks here.

I'd collected photo's yesterday but the prints were a little too large for the frames I have in stock. When my friend came round we decided to raid the local charity shop for something that might contain the image of her husband and his dog that died on Christmas Eve last year. Both of us have charity shopping off to a fine art and poor, mother could only look on bewildered as we shamelessly scoured every inch of the shop for the perfect frame. Bingo, we found the right size and colour, complete with a hunting scene. As her husband is a Game Keeper, it was strangely appropriate. Once home, we decided to keep the picture that was, in it behind the photo. Who knows who will find it in the distant future!
