In the Cool of the Day

When I wake up, the first thing I do is take a stroll in the garden, (unless it’s pouring with rain!). Everything is so fresh and new. I love the light at that time of day too. I understand how God would like to walk in his garden “in the cool of the day” (Genesis 3:8).
The three tall flower stalks are red onions I planted last year. So striking! Next to them on the right I have planted asparagus, but they won’t be producing anything for a couple of years yet. The pretty pink flowers in the foreground are Yarrow - medicinal and beautiful!
