Cycling

Today I am mostly cycling. I set off just before 6 in the cool of the morning. Edinburgh is 700 ft lower than home, but there are plenty of uphills - notably Auchendinny. It’s a lovely ride, though I can feel it all through me by the time I get to work.

The journey home starts off vey warm. Liberton Brae is particularly challenging. I decide to head through Penicuik (where I stop for ice cream & skoosh) before taking the moor road.

The sun is setting and a chill is setting in by the time I get home at 8:30. 4 hours and 50 miles in the saddle today and I’m barely functioning. Thankfully there are leftovers in the fridge and the bottle of wine has already had its cork pulled.
