Return

Today I pushed things a bit further by heading for the Pentlands, taking the same route as two weeks ago when I sprained my ankle. Indeed, on the way down I took this picture of Django is approaching the stile I jumped off when I did it. Below it there's a rock in the grass that looks flat but isn't - so maybe that's what I landed on. I walked hard up the Monk's Rig and, on the way down, had several 100m bursts downhill at 3/4 pace. I winced on a couple of footfalls, but was quite encouraged. It was great to be on top of a hill again [see extra].

Back home, I visited my mate who had the mountain bike crash, before working in the afternoon. By the end of the day my ankle seemed better for the activity, if anything.
