Tree bees

Rob and I went to Roudsea Woods to check the ospreys, happily sitting on eggs.
The garden is starting to flower and beginning to look good.
This evening we had an unusual mission, someone in Kendal had found Tree Bumblebees in a nestbox which had been taken down by their builders. He is allergic to stings, and these bumblebees are the only aggressive ones if they are disturbed.
So Rob donned his beekeepers suit and we blocked up any holes before driving them home.
We have attached the nestbox to one of our trees and tomorrow we shall see if there’s anyone at home!
