In this day and age ...

... look what is back. Yes, the humble milk bottle of old has just reappeared in the local shop, so I just had to buy some (apparently, they just need to be washed and returned to the shop).

It appears that the milk bottle is more environmentally friendly than these plastic milk cartons that end up either in landfill (never to degrade) or floating in our oceans.

Ironically, plastic which was seen to be the answer to all our problems is actually the causing many of them. So it’s about time we ditched plastic milk cartons along with plastic bags. After all, we all survived fine until the invention of plastic.

Sorry to rant ... believe me, I never used to worry about such things.

Anyway, enjoy a plastic free weekend.
