Perfect Peony

Another busy ol day, first we popped to our GP Surgery to represent the Patients Panel at a gathering with our Lady Mayoress. Our surgery had raised a substantial amount of money for local charity, Derrian House, who are a hospice for terminally ill children.

After this we popped to the garden centre to finalise things for our summerhouse. We have gone for a corner room which will sit nicely in one corner leaving quite a bit of room for a nice seating area.

After that we popped to Kenyon, snother local nursery, where we had a quick lunch and coffee, before choosing just a few summer bedding plants for the two troughs either side of the front door. I particularly wanted the white and yellow nemesia which is vanilla scented as it as scent will waft as we come and go :-) Teamed them up with some pale lemon trailing begonias. Need more plants for 3 other containers in the front garden, as well as 4 hanging baskets, and two wndow boxes.
Will sort these out over the next couple of weeks. Imhave already planted up the two troughs by the front door this afternoon, whilst hub mowed the lawns front and back.

We've had a conversation with the landscaper who will be doing the groundwork's pre the summerhouse as well......might stand a chance of getting it done before we go on holiday, if we are lucky.

Ive made chicken and pineapple skewers for dinner, with stir fried veg and salad, see extra, all healthy and syn free, as they say on Slimming World.

Todays blip is a gorgeous tree peony flower, (i think) which I snapped in someone's garden whilst we were out......the weather today has improved and been much better tha. forecast, after some early rain.

Haworth 1940s weekend this weekend, I am going tomorrow, with hub, sadly Lovelupins17 cant make it now, but for anyone else going, we plan to be by the Bandstand in Central Park at the bottom of the main cobbled street between 11.30 & 11.45 if anyome wants to meet up.....hope its not too showery!!
