The Trout Anglers' Club

Admiring the lovely stained glass fanlight as we were stopped in traffic I then noticed the title on the lintel, The Trout Anglers' Club.

The club has been in operation since 1899, originally in premises in Rutland Street, moving to the Dundas Street address in 1966, the aims being to 'promote social activities among anglers and to further the interests of their art'.

I hope passers-by also enjoy the elegance of the entrance and note the correct use of the apostrophe.
