What Sunny Hours?

I won this stone and brass sundial in a draw many years ago at a Professional CPD Meeting.

Today there has been no sunny hours so far and there has been plenty of rain.

My camera phone has an app which advises of the exact time of the solar noon and the top stone of the disc can be swivelled to adjust to the correct time as the solar noon varies throughout the year.

California Girl is busy unpacking her childhood memories and sorting out the crockery, furniture and family photos she has inherited.

You might be surprised to know that more rabbit themed objects have joined her collection. We also have some more of her paintings which she did when she attended California College of Arts and Crafts, Berkeley in the late sixties.

Being very practical she used her California clothes as "wrapping paper". This idea worked out very well.

Amongst the more unusual items is a superb microscope used principally to measure sperm count, as part of the artificial insemination process on her parents cattle ranch and an extremely old die cast model of a farm tractor which graced her father’s desk. I think it is at least 90 years old.
