Who needs a wetsuit!

I did it! Sue came down and she took this just after I’d got in. I might appear to be smiling but I’m actually cursing with cold. I didn’t think I’d be able to get my head in, but as soon as the starting gun went off I bobbed under and was off.

I wasn’t fast but I didn’t struggle and as soon as I was numb I didn’t feel the cold at all.

It was so lovely that Sue came down to cheer me on. I’ve just had a hot shower and I’m feeling ‘normal’ again.
