Cutting Corners

Most of Copenhagen is tenament blocks built between 1650-1900 and one odd feature are the corners, they are all cut off. I thought it was just a quirk of the town but it turns out to be for a reason. Apparently fire hoses were not always so flexible and would break at 90°. So they cut the corners.
