Nuffield Place - National Trust.

We have been over to Nuffield Place, now managed by the National Trust, the home of Lord Nuffield (1877 -1963). Lord Nuffield founded the Morris Motor Company that manufactured a range of Morris cars over many years.

In addition to motor manufacture, Lord Nuffield was a generous benefactor to many good causes including the manufacture and distribution of the iron lung which he sent free of charge to some 1700 hospitals in the UK and the Commonwealth.

The blip is the Morris 8 saloon car, one of the first cars to have hydraulic brakes. The extra is a shot of his home.
