The church doors are closed

I'm a bit sad that, due to family circumstances, I won't be able to get to the Christmas Eve carol service this evening at our local church. I've been there every year for at least the last 17 years.

However, as I don't have a religious bone in my body, I can't claim any spiritual need to attend. It's just another one of those Christmas rituals which seem comforting and bring back memories.
