May is out

The weather let us down today - cool and wet. Definitely not a day for casting your clout, and more a day for botanists rather than ornithologists or lepidopterists. The walk we did was pretty good for all kinds of Spring flowers: Bluebells, Red Campion and Cow Parsley, and spectacular arching branches of Hawthorn blossom in the woodland, and Sea Kale, Horned Poppy and an assortment of Sedums and Vetches in the dunes and on the shingle. Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow
