In the light
The maps app on my phone took me spectacularly off the route I should have been on, and had I not realised, would have led me up someone's garden path instead of taking me to Brantwood on Coniston Water. It did mean I drove through some stunningly beautiful scenery which I wouldn't have otherwise seen.
If you are anywhere Coniston, Brantwood is well worth a visit, not just as the home of John Ruskin, but they always have interesting exhibitions on. Last time I was there there were exquisite Durer etchings, today it was Turner in Venice - a series of 5 watercolours he did in one day, charting the light and the skies, they were really very beautiful. It was lovely to see H and P, to stretch the legs walking round Brantwood gardens and catch up on the news over tea and cake from the cafe there.
Early night I think as I have an early start tomorrow morning. I can't quite believe that I now have a PfCO - Permission to fly a drone for Commercial Operations. (I passed the flight test!) This means I can use my drone photographs for our business.
