Surprise rose

I didn’t know that we had this rose. It’s appeared since we cleared the ivy from the fence.

I went to check on the baby blackbirds this morning. I couldn’t see mum or the babies. HtP checked the nest when he came round. There are two babies still alive in the nest. I’ve topped up the bird feeders so that mum has lots of food for her in easy reach. It won’t be any good for the babies.

HtP and I have been working on replacing two of the fence panels down the driveway. When it got to the hard work I left it to him and I did some weeding. We’ve both worked the whole day so we are rather pooped. We’ll need to finish it next weekend.
