Blinding Light

A low sun in the evening bouncing light off the water surface produced blindingly bright reflections on the lake, back lighting both trees in the distance and the foreground reeds.

Thin clouds filtered the light creating a golden glow to the water that I'm not sure I captured successfully.

I'm constantly amazed by how much detail can be retrieved in the shadow areas during post processing. It's tricky to get the balance right and keep back lit shadows dark enough to be convincing, yet not have them be a complete silhouette.
