Ready to unfurl

Mono Monday: Nature

A shot of one of the poppy buds just starting to unfurl, its lost one side of the protective covering - we should have another marvellous blousey bloom to greet us in the morning.  Its interesting presenting it in mono - some of the littles detail that you might tend to miss with a colour image are revealed.  On the other hand you miss out on that glorious deep carnal red peeping out.  Probably for the best.  Its a week night after all and still before 9pm ;-)
