A day in the life

Festival

Every year my school has arranged a music festival the week before the school finishes for the year. Especially we, the music teachers, have been responsible for the choice of main artists and taken care of all the logistics. This year was the ten year anniversary.

Music from three stages, grill buffé arranged by our chef at the school, flea market, coffee, tea and candy, you name it. It's traditionally a day when students from previous years come back to meet old friends and teachers. In short, it was a very nice day where I met lots and lots of old students and listened to their stories.

The main act this year, for you who knows this kind of music, was "Freak Kitchen", a hard rock group that was something different. In stead of the normal metal attitude they had fun, smiled, made jokes, made us sing along and played really, really well. Google them and maybe you see what I mean. We have "The big stage", "The small stage" and this years extra: "The basement stage", where my Blip is from. One of our old students made a performance called "Homemade love", dressed in a led dress that changed colour, balloons on the floor and her own composed music on the computer. The singing was live, by her. A nine minutes show of total concentration. Beautiful.

We started at three and stopped a quarter past midnight. Some of us had been at school to build the stages from seven in the morning. We are tired right now. This is written half past two in the morning, I bid you a good night.
