Nothing happens here...

A day of three halves...

A beautiful start to the day so we took a new part of the Durham Coastal Walk southwards towards Hawthorn Hive.  Then the sun disappeared behind some very worrying black clouds and we beat a hasty retreat - 2 miles brisk walk - back to the car.  That was around 12 noon.  Now, at 5pm the temperature has climbed back up and we have blue skies.

The extra shows more sea glass from our newly discovered secret bit of beach.  We found some rare black glass, a massive lump of blue and some beautiful shades of greens, blues and clears.  The glass globe from the neck of a Codd's bottle is the size of a marble and it'll give you an idea of the size of the other pieces.  In 30 years of picking we've only ever found two others.
