Bright, shiny and new

It was an expensive week back from our trip to Barcelona. Karen’s car battery cranked its last, and the coil in the air conditioning unit which serves the main floor, developed a fatal refrigerant leak.
AAA came out promptly with a new battery. Installation of the replacement a/c unit had to wait until yesterday, but the old leaky unit managed to hang-on in the interim.
This is the condenser, which sits outside. There’s also a big air handler which resides in a special closet, inside. They are installed as a pair. This is the third air conditioned home we have owned, but we’ve always dodged a/c replacement in the past. I guess third time is the charm here too. Yikes!
