Watchet

Spent a very pleasant afternoon in Watchet  an ancient harbour town in north Somerset - In the 10th century coins were minted for the Saxon Kings - The coming of the railway in the 19th century increased the harbour trade when iron ore was bought by rail from the Brendon Hills for shipping across the Bristol Channel to Ebbw Vale  South Wales
