Old Town Steps

A test-drive of a car was followed by a visit to St Andrews. Like any tourist we nipped in to all the charity shops, donated a boxful of leftover books from the Christian Aid sale, wandered along sleepy lanes and discovered interesting details - like the cat and mouse on the roof of this ?C18 cottage (extra 1 is a close-up), and strange zoomorphic tablets on a seemingly unrelated university department wall (extra 2).
Then a stroll down past the castle to the beach, up along the sea wall, observing the many Eider ducks but only 4 chicks, down to the harbour, observing the heron accompanied by half-a-dozen rabbits, before wending our way back to the car.
