Yummy Sweetcorn

A lovely dogwalk with my daughter this morning in perfect conditions. A man was on the boardwalk over the lake with his granddaughter in a pushchair. I was very pleased to see that they were feeding the fish and waterfowl with sweetcorn not bread.

We saw a heron take off from a tree by the church and approach another clump of trees. It was harried by a brave rook for several minutes. At one point the heron was flying upside down. They'll take young birds if they get the chance.

I'm hobbling a bit this evening. I fell down a rabbit hole near Norman's Pond in the Lee Valley Park and pulled a muscle in my thigh.
