This remote farmstead is called Park Llewellin.  There is a hill in the North of the Island called North Barrule and this farm flanks its eastern slopes.

The weather was very clear and there were fine views towards St. Bees Head and also towards the Galloway coast.

It is sad that it should have been abandoned about 100 years ago.  The walk along a rough track took about 40 minutes.  I met a fellow walker who told me that when he last visited this place many years ago there had been a roof on the buildings.

Sadly no sign of any bee boles....
