Lakeland Dipper

Layers. Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday.

Not really abstract but today’s abstract Thursday theme of ‘layers’ got me thinking about the many layers of the day ...
Work ...all the layers within each of us, within the building, of materials, of the organisation, within the team, interrelating with other teams, layers of theory, of practice, of approaches, of differences.
Looking out the window at all the layers just from my window, all the people passing, across to the shops, up the layers of Fellside and the layers of the steep streets setting houses on top of each other up to layers of tree canopies showing off their layers of spring greens as they climbed their way up Kendal Fell.
Heading home and the layers of transition from town to country, urban to rural, fields to Fell, silage greens to moorland browns.
Bowling down to catch up with my friend for a swim in Ullswater, peeling off layers of work clothes, putting on layers of casual clothes and then wetsuit. Layers and transitions of movement from car to foot, from air to water, warm to cold.
Heading back to vote and all the layers of complexity there. Talking about all the layers of history, of Thatcher, of Alistair Campbell, of depression. And so it goes on ...so many complex layers just in one day.
