Best foot forward .....

Another busy bovine day.
The vets came this morning to do an op on a calf with a damaged eye. It was blind in it and it had swollen up so badly that the best option was to remove it. It can still see fine out the other eye and is none the worse for wear.
Then it was a long afternoon session with Roy the foot trimmer sorting overgrown and lame cows before they go out to the grass. It’s like an annul toe nail clip !
He was finished and away by 6 pm so ran one batch of cows out to a field , hope to get the others tomorrow. Then it was off down the road to check the cattle there and home via the petrol station to fill the quad bike Jerry cans. More expense. Ho hum
