Day 145/19. Up close and personal. Sound II

I'd never, until today, visited the Crypt at Winchester Cathedral, it is usually flooded and access is usually very limited to a single gated area.
But today it was dry and accessible. So off I went.
This mysterious life-size statue of a man contemplating the water held in his cupped hands is the 1986 work of the celebrated British sculptor Antony Gormley. Sound II, fashioned from lead out of a plaster cast of the artist’s own body, in the Cathedral crypt, which floods during rainy months.
Access to the crypt meant I could get Sound II from some different angles. See extras today.
