Skipper

This character was the skipper of the wooden canal boat 'Hazel' that was visiting Hebden Bridge as part of this week-end's Canal Boat Festival.
'Hazel' was built in1913 as a salt carrier but she now operates as a 'Wellbeing Boat' and normally lives in Portland Basin, Ashton-u-Lyne.  She's been fully restored and now provides short breaks, holidays and cruises for people suffering from depression and anxiety who need their spirits lifting. 
A very worthwhile project.
