At death's door

Found this sparrow lying at our door today. Clearly a case of death by misadventure. Or, to put it another way, not looking where you are going. Another sad event was the Scottish Cup final where Hearts managed to gift Celtic victory. We'll never hear the end of it now, or the phrase "the treble treble" either. Unless they manage the "quadruple treble".
