Today's the day ……………………… to watch

We have three guests staying with us tonight, two of whom are Border Collies.

This is Flo, the elder of the collies and mother to the other one, Ellie.  Most Border Collies have brown eyes but Flo is very special in that she has one brown eye and one blue.  Eyes of two different colours was once considered an asset for a working collie, as it was thought that one of the eyes controlled the sheep inbye  or close up, and one controlled the sheep outbye  or at a distance.

Blue eyes are sometimes called 'glass' eyes or 'watch' eyes...……………….
