Early Marsh Orchid

A couple of Miles of the canal bank have been mowed from Lymm Village outwards in preparation for visiting boats to a boat rally.
Only a handful of these were spared at least 30 were destroyed to my own knowledge, including other beautiful wild herbs and flowers, too numerous to mention.
In the current awareness of climate change and the importance of the wildlife habitat, I wonder if Peel holdings and the other custodians of the canal ever spare a thought for the environment...
I doubt it.
