Forest Ferns in the Shadows

We found a great website that features wonderful local hikes. And this was the approximate spot on today's walk where the trail went cold, but we were able to get back on track. It was thick and shadowy and had a welcome coolness that was lacking up to this point.
Who can resist ferns?
