Action packed

The Accidental Zoo had their first open day today and there was so much to photograph it was hard to choose a photo. Instead we chose a collection of some of the fun. The children enjoyed making and eating pancakes on the outdoor rocket stoves. They were able to interact with most of the animals in a safe and supervised way. The log trail that was created from logs proved very popular with a safe landing provided by the wood chips. Our daughter in law gave short talks on several groups of the animals which proved very popular too.
It has been a very busy time preparing for this but now that it is done next time should be easier.
Our son and daughter in law were very happy with the day, all the children seemed to enjoy it and the feedback that was left on a huge sheet of card by the gate was great. Most visitors took the time to write on it and many of the children who could write joined in too! In the extras feedback time. :) Now time to Zzzz. I have added a few more extras, one of two calves who love to snuggle up together and one of the tiniest lamb called Will. He came out of his pen to say hello to everyone whilst a talk about the sheep and lambs took place. He loves people and would have stayed out all day!
