The Golden Cross

This Golden Cross is a Cardiff landmark and the building dates from 1903 although there's been a pub on this city centre site since 1849. In the 1950's onwards the town planners had a habit of pulling down old buildings thinking modern was the way to go, but this grade 2 listed building got a reprieve in 1979 from demolition.
